Kraatteri
Kraatteri is TYK ry’s premise rented from the basement of Q-talo at Nummenpuistonkatu 2. Kraatteri is being used as a board meeting place, hangout space for the members and generally available to members as a space that can be rented for their own purposes. From the basement of Q-talo you also have open Wi-Fi, so you won’t have to suffer from lack of internet.
At Kraatteri members have access to:
- Numerous sofas and chairs
- Video projector
- Sound system
A member of the Association can ask to rent the premises by emailing the board at kemistit@lists.utu.fi. After this you the renter writes a rental agreement of the premises.

Orbitaali
With the end of the world looming, you are warmly welcome to Orbital, the club room on the first floor of Aurum. Located in Aurum, this home base for chemists and biochemists is an important place for many of our members to spend their lecture breaks (and sometimes even lectures), where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, buy overalls badges, and catch up on the latest news with your fellow students. Currently Orbitaali is our only premises used for Office hours.
At Orbital our members have access to:
- ”comfy” couch
- computer for free use
- free coffee and tea
- fridgerator and microwave
- multifunction copier
Vetokaappi
Vetokaappi is lounge area for (bio)chemists on the 6th floor of PharmaCity in the molecular plant biology facilities (room 6054). The room is located next to the teaching labs, opposite the emergency shower, and is available when the premises are otherwise open (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). The fume cupboard currently has seating and a coffee maker.
